After surrendering to Hideyoshi in 1585, Motochika retained Tosa. Castle moves, surveys with Morichika, rules and the later use of land registers reveal a history of government continuing beyond the campaigns.

1585年、四国の大部分へ勢力を広げた長宗我部元親は秀吉に敗れ、土佐一国を保った。そこで歩みが終わったわけではない。城の移転、元親と盛親による検地、掟の整備、支配者が変わっても使われた地検帳。合戦の後に続く領国経営から、元親の時代をたどる。
English Story
From the filling of Osaka Castle's moats after the Winter Campaign to the battles at Domyoji, Yao, Wakae, Tennoji, and Okayama, this article follows the Toyotomi side's narrowing choices, the castle's fall, and the end of the house in May 1615.
